The sculpture record and its archival photograph identify Beirut Summer as a 1982 cast-paper object measuring 22 × 22 × 1 in. The photograph is shown uncropped, preserving the uneven points, layered ridges, and complete silhouette.
The Pulitzer Arts Foundation independently exhibited the same title, date, medium, and dimensions in 2019 and identified it as Collection of Zarina. Its gallery text explains Zarina’s early-1980s process more broadly: wet paper fibers were poured and pressed into deep-relief molds, then dried into final sculptural form.
