The Pulitzer Arts Foundation exhibited Shelter with the same title, date, cast-paper medium, dimensions, and Collection of Zarina designation. That checklist describes the work simply as cast paper; it does not mention gold leaf. The site retains the fuller recorded medium while keeping its attribution visible.
Pulitzer’s gallery text connects Zarina’s cast-paper reliefs to architecture she encountered in northern India—courtyards, arches, stepwells, and balanced geometric forms. Here the shelter remains small and materially dense: an architectural sign made into an object rather than a literal model of a particular building.
