The sculpture record and earlier published photograph agree on the title, cast-paper construction, 1984 date, and 46 × 46 × 2 in. dimensions. The image is preserved uncropped so the object’s circular edge and coiled surface remain visible.

Christie’s account places the work within Zarina’s early cast-paper practice, in which paper pulp freed her from the rectangular page. The spiral becomes a sculptural line: materially dense, human in scale, and connected to remembered forms from the house and garden at Aligarh.
